AI employee: what it does, what it costs and what it won't do

An AI employee is AI software that does the work of a job in your business instead of only answering questions: you give it a goal, and it plans the tasks, carries them out with real tools and accounts, and reports back. Baljia is an AI employee for founders and small businesses. It builds your web app, markets it on Google, in AI answers and on social media, and finds buyers, all from a chat in WhatsApp, Slack or the web, and you choose what runs on its own.

At a glance

Hire it from $49.99 a month, or try it first with a 7-day free trial with up to 33 credits and a set amount of AI usage, no credit card. The free trial can build a landing page; sign-in, bookings, orders and LinkedIn outreach start on a paid plan.

Baljia does not make phone calls, and it builds web apps, not native phone apps. Details are under what it does not do.

What is an AI employee?

A chatbot gives you an answer and leaves the work to you. An AI employee takes the job: it works out the steps, does them with the tools and accounts you connect, checks the result and tells you what happened. Some AI employees cover one role, such as a receptionist or a social media manager. Baljia covers the jobs a young business usually needs first: building the product, getting it found and finding buyers.

You talk to one AI employee. Behind it, specialist agents do the work: a builder, a designer, an SEO auditor, a writer, a social manager, an ads manager, a prospector, an outreach rep, a researcher and an analyst, all working from one shared company memory.

What Baljia does as your AI employee

Build

  • Builds a web app from your description: customers sign up, sign in and use one core workflow, such as bookings, orders, requests or a member area, and you get an owner dashboard.
  • Checks the app before it is called done, and tells you when it cannot confirm that something works.
  • Hosts the app on a baljia.app web address and extends the same app each time you ask for a change.

Market

  • Audits your site for Google and AI search: technical problems, whether AI crawlers can read it, and which sites AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini cite for your buyers' questions.
  • Prepares fixes such as page titles, descriptions, structured data, a sitemap and robots.txt, and applies them on an app Baljia built once you approve.
  • Writes blog posts and pages, and publishes reviewed articles to a Baljia site or a WordPress site you connect.
  • Prepares posts for the accounts you connect, including X, Instagram, Reddit and Facebook Pages, and LinkedIn on the Growth plan and up.
  • Drafts Meta ad campaigns that run only after you approve a daily budget.

Sell

  • Researches potential customers, including people already talking about the problem you solve.
  • Sends email outreach with paced follow-ups, and stops a sequence when someone replies.
  • Runs LinkedIn outreach on the Growth plan and up, within daily limits.
  • Keeps a simple sales pipeline, so you can see who replied.

Learn

  • Keeps a company memory of your customers, pricing, decisions and what worked, and uses it in everything it writes.
  • Answers questions about your own numbers and proposes the next move.

How you work with it and stay in control

Manage it the way you would manage a new hire, from a chat: on WhatsApp, in Slack once you connect it, or in the web dashboard, which also shows its tasks, the drafts waiting for you, and results. It only uses the accounts you connect.

You set the guardrails. A specific request to publish or send authorizes that action; a request for a draft keeps it for review. You choose which supported recurring work runs on its own, and Baljia only spends money inside a budget you approve. Automations that run on their own start on a paid plan. Approvals and the work that goes out are recorded, so you can see what happened.

What it does not do

  • No phone calls. Baljia does not make or answer phone calls.
  • No Instagram DM replies yet. Turning Instagram comments into direct messages is listed as coming soon; it is not live.
  • Web apps only. It builds web apps, not native iPhone or Android apps. Apps can take bookings and orders. Card checkout into your own payment account is not available yet.
  • No guaranteed results. It does not promise revenue, rankings or replies. It reports what it did and what it measured.
  • One business per plan. A plan covers one business, with one AI employee per website.
  • The free trial is for a first look. The free trial can build a landing page; sign-in, bookings, orders and LinkedIn outreach start on a paid plan. Use the trial to evaluate a focused task. A complete app or campaign may need a paid plan and more credits.
  • Work has limits. Work runs within your plan, available credits, daily limits and the schedules you enable.

Other AI employee products and app builders

Other products also sell AI employees, or build apps with AI. These pages set Baljia next to each one, with prices in US dollars, and say when the other product is the better choice:

  • Marblism alternative: Baljia vs Marblism. Both offer AI employees. Marblism covers phone calls, inbox and contracts; Baljia builds a working web app, then markets it and runs sales outreach from your chat.
  • Polsia alternative: Baljia vs Polsia. Both aim to run the daily work of a company with AI. Baljia runs from WhatsApp or Slack; Polsia runs from its web app and iMessage and lists mobile builds and payment links.
  • Lovable alternative: Baljia vs Lovable. Lovable is an AI app builder you drive yourself. Baljia builds the app too, then markets it and finds buyers. Lovable fits better if you want hands-on control and your own GitHub repository.
  • Durable alternative: Baljia vs Durable. Durable builds a business website with a CRM, bookings and payments. Baljia builds a custom web app where customers sign in, then markets it and runs sales outreach from your chat.
  • Wix alternative: Baljia vs Wix for building an app. Wix builds websites, and Base44, which Wix lists, builds apps you drive yourself. Baljia builds the app too, then markets it and finds buyers. Wix and Base44 fit better for payments and lower prices, and Base44 for your own code.
